		<description>I know there have been numerous reports of Leopard seals attacking people, and one of one killing a diver, but I&#039;ve never heard of one &quot;eating&quot; anyone.  

Paul Nicklen, a National Geographic photographer and friend, told me that his encounters with them for last years photo shoot was THE most incredible animal encounter of his life. A large female &quot;adopted&quot; him, gave him penguins as gifts (by the end of the shoot he&#039;d sometimes have a dozen penguin bodies floating around him) and would follow them back to their boat, sleeping on an ice floe nearby.</description>
