Pilot Rock
Honeybuzz and I inhaled a huge breakfast at Callahan’s Lodge this morning, finishing with a chocolate milkshake before hitting the trail at 10:15 a.m. We hiked 24.2 miles, past Pilot Rock east of Ashland, to reach Highway 66 by dusk.
Judging by plants along the trail, wild berry season is just getting underway. I dawdled to pick fistfuls of blackberries, thimbleberries, and strawberries this afternoon, ending up with sticky fingers and a happy stomach. It’s good to be in the Pacific Northwest!
Hi Honeybuzz and Noah Stryker,
Congratulations on making it to Oregon! I am happy for you gents that the Blueberry season was awaiting you on this part of the journey. Keep on trekking and have a happy journey!

Welcome home ! Strange to look east from my house at the ridges south of Mt. McLoughlin and realize that you are up there, and walked there from the Mexican border. We go rid of most of the snow but have saved you some mosquitos.

Hello Noah!
Mike and I met your Mom, Lisa, on the pct above Carter Meadows on Friday, Aug. 5. She was pitching a tent and waiting for you to arrive with an ice chest of goodies. We were doing a day hike, followed by a 9 day backpack up to and around Grizzly lake.
First of all, know that you now have another person thinking about you and sending you positive energy daily. What an amazing trek!!!!! AND, what an amazing MOM you have too! She gave us the scoop on your past daily adventures. Keep up the great work Noah!
